How did you end up with Team NewCold?
In the winter of 2021, I signed up for a test day at Papendal. Here, I was told that the coaches saw potential in me. Since then, I have been training hard and have the opportunity to participate in training camps, competitions, and I am part of Team NewCold for Skeleton.
What do you find the coolest about the sport you practice within Team NewCold?
The coolest thing is racing down at such high speeds on your belly. The adrenaline rush that comes with it is tremendous. It's also very satisfying to see how you can improve yourself after each descent.
What is a unique trait/fact about yourself?
I believe in my own dreams and give 100% to make those dreams come true.
Do you have tips for young athletes who want to be successful in skeleton?
You should enjoy every moment you're on the sled.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I want to participate in the World Cup. Ultimately, I aim to compete in the Olympic Games and, of course, win.
What has been your biggest achievement within Team NewCold so far?
My best achievement is finishing 15th at the Europa Cup in Innsbruck.
